It doesn't work on frames, but there's a cost effective way to save boxes for some folks apparently. https://rirdc.infoservices.com.au/downloads/01-051 Hot wax dipping has been shown to kill or encapsulate (render harmless) AFB spores. If you dip your equipment anyway for preservation then a redip is cost effective. The frames are still a bust though. I started wax dipping this year, but haven't had any AFB so I've personally never tested it.
