I found this in an old pamphlet by Roger Morse and EJ Dyce. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried this: > Strengthen weak colonies containing young prolific queens by placing them above strong colonies with a queen excluder and a piece of newspaper between them. The colonies should be united during the latter part of March or early April and separated toward the end of the dandelion or fruit-bloom flow. BEEKEEPING: General Information by R. A. Morse and E.
