This may have been true in the 1990s. In 1997, 68% of honey imported into the USA was from Argentina. 

Nowadays, however, the picture is quite different. The imports from Argentina account for only 13% of the total.

Almost 50% of the imported honey in 2010 came from Viet Nam, India and Malaysia. Canada finished fifth, at 10%.
