So ... the mother is in an impossible situation here.  If she tells the doc that breastfeeding IS NOT having any negative effect on anyone in the family, this guy interprets that as her being 'so immersed with breastfeeding that she dismisses the possibility'.  Her only other option is to declare that breastfeeding IS negatively affecting someone else in the family.  Damned if she do, damned if she don't.  Whatever happened to listening to the patients?  These women telling him (by his own admission) that breastfeeding beyond a year is not a problem for them or their families.  Therefore he should BUTT OUT.
