I am currently working as the LC for a low-income population of women (all WIC, 80% Hispanic). Most of them do not have any transportation. I really want to put together a support group, they have tried this in the past with little success. Our budget isn't too great, so having lots of food and things of that nature is not an option. My plan is to send out invites to all our PN and PP moms, I would also include invites in the gift bags we give when we do rounds. Lastly, I was thinking that all our peer counselors could remind moms of the group on all phone contacts with patients. Also, we have a choice to do the group at our office, the hospital, or at the pedi centers...I am thinking the pedi office because they will be there anyway. Any suggestions to make this group more appealing as well as ideas for how to make the invites look would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
