I'm a new beekeeper with some 1st year bees in some old styrofoam 10-frame deeps and shallow supers. I've kept the new bees busy this summer building comb in the shallow supers. I want to start using 8-frame mediums for everything. (So that I can move frames around wherever they are needed and because 8-frame mediums weigh less.) I have purchased a 2-medium "complete" hive kit and plan to purchase additional equipment next March to end up with 2 hives consisting of 5-mediums. My question is: What's the best way for a new beekeeper suchj as myself to move the bees I have now form the 10-frame deeps to the 8-frame medium equipment WITHOUT losing bees & the queen in the process. Thanks, Dennis *********************************************** The BEE-L mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software.
