I am wondering if anyone can give me some help on a situation I am dealing with( permission to post):
First time mom, baby is now 2 1/2 weeks old.
Milk did not initially come in, baby with tongue tie, poor, sleepy, feeder. At 6 days had tongue clipped, 9 days reopened. At day 9 mom started motilium and increased pumping. Baby is now eating between 8-10 times a day, mom pumps after feeds (gets between 10 - 20cc) and gives supplements ( pumped milk and some formula) about 120 cc a day, split 2 times a day. Weight gain of about 150 gram a week. Baby seems satisfied and alert, usually quiets/falls asleep after feeds.
I thought we were out of the woods and I was ready to suggest she cut back on the supplements but, now, the baby has not stooled for over 36 hours.
What is the next step? Should she supplement more? Test weights? How long can we wait at this age to see if he will stool? If weight gain is sufficient, is that enough? Have I missed something to look for?

Would greatly appreciate your input.
