The has been some mitochondrial DNA testing of bees in our area and this has shown, amongst other things, that there are two types of ligustica present, one given as A.m.ligustica 'Bari' the other as just A.m.ligustica.

It seems likely that these are due to imports from NZ and Hawaii. Can anyone whether either source would be associated with a particular strain?
Best wishes
