Hello All, I was surfing the net awhile ago and pulled up a piece from the Daytona New journal ( the paper I grew up reading when I lived in Flroida). http://www.newsjournalonline.com/media/video/beekeeper/ In the area I live in we have lost three large commercial operations. Osage honey Farms (est. 1955), Mathes Honey farms ( est. 1926) & Thompson honey Farms ( est. 1960's) In north eastern Nebraska Missouri Valley Honey Farm is all that is left of the four large operations which called the area home. Pierre South , Dakota was a town made up of commercial beekeepers for decades. I was told recently only one small commercial beekeeper remains today. bob *********************************************** The BEE-L mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software.
