A baby girl was born 3 days ago following an abruptio at 36 weeks. Her
Apgars were 1, 6 and 9. She weighs 1560g and is a little miracle. She
initially had unstable blood sugars, but she is doing just fine now and
started breastfeeding yesterday.

Today we continued with skin-to-skin care in the mother's room. Mom rang
her bell and I found her grinning and giggling. Baby had decided it was
time to eat and moved across and self-attached. Mom described baby's action
as "swimming". And indeed, this is what it looked like this determined
little one was doing!
