We replace the water daily. We will also run bleach through the system weekly, for about an hour, to prevent slime/sludge build-up in the pipes and hoses. Generally been working well for us, but if someone's got a better approach, I'm interested in hearing what others do, as well. My concern has been the bleach-it's slowly, but surely, fading the rich yellow surface to a pale yellow. A non-bleaching chemical would be best. Thanks! ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions. ************************************************************************ ***** I'm looking for information about how you treat water in your water exhibits. Do you use chlorinators to deliver chlorine? How often do you test the water for chlorine? Do you use ozonators? On average, how often do you replace water? Is there something really important you'd like to share? Thanks!
