I would second Sam's suggestion to not use the chemical shampoos. This comes also from a school and community with an enormous lice problem for the last couple of years. The RID and other shampoos still leave some bugs and the nits so you have to be diligently combing anyway. We've had our best luck with a ROBI comb. It uses a battery and "zaps" the live bugs so they die or stay still anyway so you can pick it out. Much quicker and more effective than anything else we tried. Hate to sacrifice breastfeeding for some crazy little bugs.
