Liz and all:
We do not use Domperidone for inafnts or children for GER - only the adult GI docs use it for diabetic gastroparesis.?
Domperidone is not approved for ANY use in the USA.? The Compounding Pharmacists Association (IACP) has, on it's member's only section, a statement to its members that they must use their own judgement in continuing to provide it (with a prescription) as the drug is not really "compounded" - the pharmacists are really just importing the powder (Illegal per the FDA) and putting it into geltin capsules.?"Compounding" means combining FDA approved drugs in many ways - eg. Newman's all purpose nipple cream would be OK because hydrocortisone cream and mupuricin and nystatin are all approved drugs.? The IACP rep says this is a "grey" area.
