Maples are one of the first spring pollens for the bees. I would worry about > toxic pollens from the imidacloprid injected in Maples but I am sure others > will have a different opinion. My guess is that it is probably different in different areas, but Maples are the first nectar source for bees here in Maine and I have seen them working it. So it is more than pollen. But.... still need more facts to determine if it is a problem. Got to remember that it will be at least many months after treatment that the maples will start to bloom. Doubt if much will be around then, but it should be easy to test.
