This morning's NY Times noted the passing of pianist Leonard Pennario. As I type this, I feel like I should be able to add something to this, but all that comes to mind is his recording of Rozsa and Khachaturian Concertos. I am reminded of the recent posting on the interpretation of Chopin and that it could be that we look for something distinctive in those who interpret...Maybe I need to revisit some of his recordings.
