Another limiting factor is the idea that a concert must contain the
structure Overture-Concerto-Symphony and not last longer than, say 80
minutes.  I would travel very far to see and hear a performance of
Busoni's piano concerto (70 minutes), Respighi's suite for Organ and
Orchestra, Gounod's Suite Concertante for Pedal-Piano (now organ) and
orchestra, Massenet's Piano Concerto, Prokoviev's Alexander Nevsky....
