Although owned by the richest University in America, WHRB has an absolutely pitiful signal...it operates at only 1,700 watts with a DIRECTIONAL antenna that squelches that already weak output towards stations on the same and adjacent channels (although FM stations promote themselves by their frequencies, as far as the Federal Government is concerned, they utilize channels). Here's a "covergage map" as designated by the FCC, but it is overly generous as far as real-world reception is concerned: http://www.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/FMTV-service-area?x=3DFM213301.html Laurence Glavin Methuen, MA (25 miles north of Boston, too far for good WHRB reception) *********************************************** The CLASSICAL mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's HDMail High Deliverability Mailer for reliable, lightning fast mail delivery.
