Dear Friends: Thank you Lisa, for a very interesting article. We have research studies showing that babies (both term and preterm) orient by smell to find the breast. I wonder if this pheromone is ubiquitous in all mammals...........at least landbased ones. Makes me wonder how whales and dolphin babies find the milk..... warmly, Nikki Lee RN, MS, Mother of 2, IBCLC, CCE Lactation Consultant, Philadephia Department of Public Health _www.breastfeedingalwaysbest.com_ (http://www.breastfeedingalwaysbest.com/) www.myspace.com/AdonicaLee ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. *********************************************** Archives: http://community.lsoft.com/archives/LACTNET.html Mail all commands to [log in to unmask] To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or [log in to unmask]) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet or ([log in to unmask]) To reach list owners: [log in to unmask]
