It appears that 25-year-old Venezuelan Gustavo Dudamel will replace
Esa-Pekka Salonen as music director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic at
the end of the 2008-2009 season.

The LA Phil has a history of going for young conductors.  Consider that
Salonen was 34 when he took over and Zubin Mehta only 26 when he took
over in 1962.

Query: Has anyone here heard/seen Dudamel conduct?
