Hi,

It seems to be that there are several studies that indicates that health
professionals and others who have not breastfed feel unable to counsel
breastfeeding mothers. This doesn't seem to apply, though, to other areas
of healthcare. Is breastfeeding a special case? Is there something
especially important that having successfully breastfed a child brings to
the counselling relationship, or is it simply lack of knowledge and training

What do others think?

Barb
