The main problem is cost.  Conferences have become too pricey :-(  The 
average mom can't afford to go :-(  They sometimes cost the org instead of 
making money.  Wouldn't want to accept funds from the formula co, now would 
we?  I'm sure they'd love to help  out!
Fortunately state or regional conferences are still do-able, but even they 
are getting pricey.
