> Does anyone know of any studies that may have been done regarding dairy > consumption during pregnancy and it's effect on later breastfeeding? > I don't know of research, but in my case avoiding dairy did not seem to help. I drank some cow's milk during my first pregnancy, and my son was very sensitive to dairy and I needed to eliminate it while breastfeeding. When I became pregnant again, I was still nursing him so continued to avoid dairy for that reason, and also because I hoped this might prevent my next baby from becoming sensitized. It didn't - she is allergic to dairy even as an adult.
