Tenor, teacher, a major force in San Francisco Opera Center activities,
founder/provider of the Schwabacher Recital Series, died last night, at
age 86.  Lorraine Hunt was one of the many, many artists he had supported.

An otherwise unsentimental music lover said when she heard the news:
"Seems like he was waiting for Lorraine to get settled in before joining
her...  now they can sing together.  What lovely music they will make."
