I have to comment on this. Last week I was helping in our church nursery
and it came time to bottle feed a 6 week old babe. The bottle had formula
in it (very foul smelling stuff:( The entire time I fed her her breathing
was labored and she seemed to have a really hard time with it. When she
wasn't feeding her breathing was fine, no cold or anything wrong with her.
I could not see how it was easier at all. I did give her frequent breaks.
I also noticed that she never took more than 5 or 6 sucks in a row, but
would stop frequently. What about the research that babies do better with
their O2 sats when breastfeeding vs. bottle feeding? Hoping someone will
have a rebuttal against him.
