Dear collective trivia wisdom, Coming out of a performance of the Schumann Piano Quartet (E-flat, Op. 47), yesterday, a friend and I were trying to think of any other mid-movement retunings in the Romantic chamber literature. In this case, the cello retunes the c string down to b-flat during the finale. Can anyone think of other similar comparable retunings during a movement in the Romantic (or Classical) chamber literature? Thanks and cheers, Mike Smith Boulder, Colorado
