Well.........I've been using a variation. 15 g. betamethasone 0.1% ointment 15 g. nystatin ointment (100,000 u) 22.5 g. mupirocin ointment (size it comes in in US) I give the moms a clean urine cup, tell her to squezze them all in, stir well and use sparingly. (also works on diaper rash :-) I deal with an inner city population, many on medicaid or limited Rx plans. They can't afford the compunding pharmacy rates :-( also transportation is limited to get around, so they usually go to chains. (Chains throw up their hands in horror when I write it Dr. Jack's way.) Someone else has mentioned on Lactnet that mupirocin seems to work OK by itself. Maybe the slight differences in grams makes the mupirocin more effective. I don't know, but it works. I've been chicken to try mupirocin solo. Pat in SNJ (APN,C - I can write Rxs.) *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(R) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
