What I presented was a summary of the experience of actual beekeepers,
researchers and authorities working with African Bees in California; they
fully intend to keep them out of the gene pool. Those who fail to practice
tough measures get africanized. 

The notion that marked queens are liable to be superseded is plain nonsense.
I know this from 30 years of experience. The primary cause of supersedure is
junk queens. I have seen 3 year old marked queens countless times, including
many *should have* been superseded.
