ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions. ***************************************************************************** The Museum of Science, Boston is looking for co-presenters for a panel on "visitors and broken exhibits" for the 2006 ASTC annual conference. This panel would discuss how exhibit maintenance departments can incorporate visitor feedback into its daily operations. The Museum is currently conducting a visitor research study examining visitor perceptions of broken exhibits, and we think this information will be useful for the field. We are also interested in learning how other museums incorporate visitor comments and concerns into its exhibit operations. We are looking for co-presenters who have conducted visitor research relating to different aspects of broken exhibits, or who have developed mechanisms for integrating on-going visitor feedback into exhibit operations. In this panel, we were hoping to include the perspectives of the visitor researchers who conducted the study/ gathered the feedback and the maitenance staff who applied the findings. If you have a project that you think would contribute to this discussion, and you would like to present it next year, please contact me off this listserv. The due date is fast approaching, so the sooner you contact me the better. -- Liz Kunz ************************************* Elizabeth Kunz Senior Research/Evaluation Assistant Research Department Museum of Science, Boston [log in to unmask] phone: (617)589-0467 http://www.mos.org ************************************* *********************************************************************** More information about the Informal Science Education Network and the Association of Science-Technology Centers may be found at http://www.astc.org.
