At times, during the many discussions about bee stings, someone will mention that being stung in the eye can cause blindness. Others will sometimes mention that the chance of being stung directly in the eye itself, due to the almost instantaneous blink reflex, is so rare as to be almost nonexistent. Then the discussion can get heated and even theatrical. A lot of people have been stung around the eyes and on the eyelids themselves, though (including yours truly). A few days ago while searching for something else on the internet, I stumbled across this: http://tinyurl.com/eyqot Thought it might be of interest.
