My heart and thoughts are with Katrina survivors - as a mom who has had to look confident when scared (driving in ice storms, isolated by snow storms, and dealing with hurricanes), I cannot imagine dealing with this long-term stressor.

...and I plan to stock up (even more than I already have) as Barbara mentioned and learn how to improvise - we are all susceptible to one emergency or another -earthquakes, ice storms, tornadoes, etc. I've lived all over the US and know there wasn't one place I lived that didn't have one risk or another...

I hope I am not considered insensitive by starting another thread - I'm working on developing tools to promote the model hospital policies in California - (http://www.mch.dhs.ca.gov/documents/pdf/Model_Hospital_Policy_Recommendations.pdf) and wondered what would YOU recommend be used to encourage mothers to WANT to exclusively breastfeed in the hospital and health care professionals to encourage it? (Policy #4)

I have a lot of references from studies, but I'm wondering about any favorite handouts or materials (preferably web-based).
