Back in 2003, the British Medical Journal published a photo of a woman using 
cabbage leaves on a swollen knee with osteoarthritis (BMJ  2003;326:1406 (21 
June). You can see the photo online and read the following correspondence - 
one letter is from Helen Woodman, a breastfeeding counsellor in the UK.
(This also ties in with the "meeting other lactnetters theme" - Helen kindly 
invited my family for a lovely Sunday lunch several years ago!)
