I've been off the list for awhile and now am mostly lurking happily again, gleaning so much thought-provoking information! In my search of the archives, I found a little info about non-RN IBCLCs working in hospital settings. We are considering expanding our program (yipee!)and I will have the opportunity to mentor/instruct a potential Pathway F candidate - (I have a lot of work cut out for me!) She is not an RN. I've been asked to develop a job description for this "potential" position. I am interested in any input regarding the use of non-RNs in the hospital setting, inasmuch as I must sell the idea and define it clearly before we can actually begin the process, which will probably take us a year or two. Suggestions, ideas, any input appreciated. Many thanks for the collective wisdom, Katherine Abdun-Nur RN IBCLC Grants Pass, OR *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(R) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
