Cee wrote wondering if short vs longer periods of 
Breastfeeding contributed to a later age of menopause. This 
is strictly anecdotal: my grandmothers both had 10 children 
over a 25 to 30 year period of time. Both had their last 
child at 50. Both were Breastfeeding for most of the 25 to 30 
years. My sisters and I and the cousins that I know 
menopausal hx on have all Breastfed for extended periods @ 
least a 6 year total.The earliest any of us went into 
menopause was 47 and the average was 54-56. Only the one who 
went into menopause @ 47 has had Breast cancer, but she is a 
smoker. Maybe we just have a different genetic makeup. Chris
