Salvatore Di Vittorio To Guest Conduct The Danbury Symphony - March 20 Program at Ives Concert Hall in Danbury, Connecticut The Danbury Symphony Orchestra will perform under guest conductor Salvatore Di Vittorio on Sunday, March 20, 2005, 3 PM in the Ives Concert Hall of Danbury Music Center, 256 Main Street in Danbury, Connecticut. Mr. Di Vittorio will lead the orchestra in a concert entitled "A New World," in honor of his conducting debut in this country. The program, funded with a generous gift from Joan and Fred Weisman, will include Rossini's Semiramide Overture, Mozart's Clarinet Concerto and Dvorak's Symphony No. 9, "From the New World". The soloist in the clarinet concerto is Pascal Archer, former member and soloist with the New World Symphony and First Prize Winner at the Canadian Music Competition in 1996 and 1997.
