The American Chamber Ensemble In Concert At Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall On March 12 - Celebrating 40th Anniversary and New CD On Saturday, March 12, at 2:00 p.m., the American Chamber Ensemble will present "Mostly Schickele" a diverse program of contemporary works at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, 154 West 57th Street in Manhattan. This concert celebrates both the 40th Anniversary of ACE (http://www.jamesarts.com/ace/40thAnniv.html) and the release of their new Elysium CD The American Chamber Ensemble Plays Peter Schickele (http://www.jamesarts.com/releases/feb05/ACE_nws_021705.htm). The concert, presented by MidAmerica Productions, features Peter Schickele's Quartet for clarinet, violin, cello, and piano, Monochrome 3 for 9 B-flat clarinets and Octet for clarinet, bassoon, French horn, string quartet, and bass, along with Albert Tepper's Trio Barocco for clarinet, violin, and piano and Lukas Foss's Three American Pieces for violin and piano. Performers for this concert will be ACE directors Blanche Abram (piano) and Naomi Drucker (clarinet), with ACE core members pianist Marilyn Sherman Lehman, violinists Eriko Sato and Deborah Wong, violist Lois Martin and cellist Chris Finckel.
