This approach is almost guaranteed to cause the end of breastfeeding. 
I say 'almost'....I probably mean 'certain.'

What about skin-to-skin, co-sleeping, feeding ad lib, observation of 
feeds to check for milk transfer....and not panicking? Weight is only 
one part of the picture, anyway.

It must be very difficult for you, Kristen, to work with such 
unsupportive colleagues : (
