Dear Pam, Nystatin in not the best choice for a yeast diaper rash. It is a fungistat not a fungicide. Over the counter Lotrimin or Ketoconazole by prescription, any azole for that matter, works much better. I've never tried Gentian violet on the skin. I'd be curious to know the results. Steroid in the mixture is likely to make a yeast rash worse. Hope this helps Vaishali Kute, MD FAAP www.chatpeds.com *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(R) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
