Greetings~ I had a mother call today with a question that is of more curiosity than concern to her. I have her permission to post. She is nursing a 6 week old daughter who is gaining, thriving, happy. Mom seems to have a very abundant milk supply and probably overactive let-down. She has been working on coping with those and things are improving, and Mom is very happy with her breastfeeding sucess. Her question has to do with the baby. She reports that often after nursing, the baby seems "phlegmy" and spits up sort of "slimy" milk. This does not happen when she is fed expressed milk from a bottle. She wonders what causes this. So do I. Any ideas? Thanks, as always Kirsten *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(R) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
