Yes, it is hard to do this job day after day, when we are the underdog.
Remember that we change the world one mother and baby at a time. This week,
I've dealt with mothers and doctors who so "don't get it" and sadly
pediatricans whose own children were nursed or yet nursed themselves and
still don't understand what "normal" is . I do not understand why they give
such blatantly poor advice and or follow-up or if they even really realize
they are doing it.
However, at the end of this day I will choose to remember the 37 week twin
girls who at 2 hours post CD age were suckling easily, simultaneously, and
most instinctivley at mom's breast. I'll be darned if that wasn't an ending
to the week I needed to have!

We all make a difference, each and every day - but totally agreeing we have
a long way to go to get to where we need to be!
