On the use of credentials before passing an exam. I'm surprised by this discussion. In my surroundings it is perfectly legal to announce oneself as a student for a title. My students for instance can (and actually from time to time do so) present themselves as ''LK i.o.''. LK stands for Lactationconsultant (Dutch word for this contains a k) and i.o. means in education. LK is lactatiekundige, which name is registered and reserved for people who succesfully passed the IBLCE exam and renew timely. Thus signing as ''IBCLC student'' would be perfectly legal overhere.
