The current thread about pop songs written by classical composers made
me curious about the output of Lenny Amber (AKA Leonard Bernstein, who
used that pseudonym when he worked for the music publisher Harms Inc.
in 1942-43).

Some websites I found thru Google claim that Bernstein "published songs"
under that name, but most sites, including www.leonardbernstein,com,
only say that he did arrangements and transcriptions of existing music.

What I can't find is any titles of compositions OR arrangements. Neither
the biography by Humphrey Burton nor that by Joan Peyser has a list of
Bernstein's compositions. (Burton doesn't even include the name Lenny
Amber in its index!) Lenny Amber is not listed in the databases of ASCAP,
BMI, and SESAC.

The Harms catalog apparently is now owned by Warner Bros. Publications,
but their site is no help. (Who designs these things? And who do they
think uses them?)

Does anyone know any details of Lenny Amber's output?
