Hello everyone, I am a CLC who has recently lost a grant to be available free of charge to the families in our community. I have had the wonderful opportunity to be able to work with many low income families through my position as a home visitor for new and expecting families. Many of the families I now see get covered under my h.v. position. However, I am getting to the point I may have to start charging for my services. I am now making house calls free of charge after my normal work hours and taking phone calls, emails ect... The breastfeeding support in the area is weak at best. I would like to hear privately how those of you in private practice operate and if any use a sliding scale.
