Lloyd Spear said: "Roundup(tm). A wonderful herbicide that is as safe as Ivory Snow..... not to even worry that getting bees drenched will hurt them...it will not!" I would not be drenching my bees in any herbicide as said by Lloyd above. I have had herbicide loss in bees on occassion. I do use roundup as weed control in yards but find in certain years I need to keep using again to control weeds. A better herbicide (granular) is sold by a bee supply house ( Mann Lake) but at a higher cost (and not sold by Wal Mart). Jason asks: >Is there an optimum time to spray? Eg, spraying at dusk while the bee's are in the hive? ALWAYS TELL FARMERS TO SPRAY PESTICIDES & HERBICIDES AT DUSK WHEN BEES ARE NOT FLYING. Jason asks: >Has anyone had proven bad experiances with Roundup? I have not heard of any but maybe others on the list have heard?
