Good on this mum and good on you too Fiona! It's highly unlikely that this mum could have done it without you. You should give yourself a pat on the back. I'm giving a presentation at one of the State Aust BF Assoc conferences about relactation on Saturday and will be emphasising what BF counsellors need to do to support mums relactation/inducing lactation and it comes down to what you describe....support, support, support. Knowledge about relactation can be helpful but when it comes down to it, it's pretty simple and mums just can't do without the support of someone who knows that they can do it and that it's worth doing. Your post made my day! Karleen Gribble Australia > I got such a nice phone call today. :-) >About a month ago I got a call from someone who had been recommended to > call me to talk about relactating. Well, I had phone calls from her on a daily basis for about a week, sometimes 2-3 calls a day, lasting well over an hour often. I was > scared this was the more "manic" state of being bi-polar and that she'd > become disinterested pretty quickly. Well surprise surprise I got a call > from her today: she is BF this baby, he is 3 months old, she is down to > *2 bottles* per day and sometimes fewer than that and things are going > well!!! *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(R) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
