It's a puzzler that the baby reacts to the mother's milk even when it's pumped and bottlefed, since the first thought is that the let-down is too fast or too slow. Since the mother has eliminated milk and other obvious allergens, what about suggesting a very restricted diet for a week or so. The archives have a more complete description, but it would involve filling the house with a slate of foods with a low potential for an allergic reaction -- roast a turkey or lamb, a pot of rice/millet, zucchini or green beans cooked with olive oil/salt/pepper, pears and bananas, etc. and just feeding off that. She could certainly live without pre-natal vitamins for a week -- perhaps they have some ingredient that flavors the milk, at least in this baby's view, because the baby reacts so early in the feeding.
