Yes, their plateau is supposedly to be around 3 to 6 months actually. There
have been a few recent studies, prior this one, looking at the weight gain
of formula-fed babies -- calling it rapid growth -- and detecting and being
concerned about elevated growth hormone levels --- two suggesting weak
links to cancer in later life. I'm personally not so sure that the growth
hormone isn't just coming directly out of the cow's milk. Anyway, I'm glad
to see more consideration that formula-fed babies are obese on the average,
rather than breastfed being underweight.
