It is not that unusual, it seems, for women to experience negative emotional 'rushes' in connection with the milk ejection reflex. The first time I heard of it was when a friend reported 'a feeling of impending doom' every time her milk let down. It was very pronounced in the first weeks and subsided gradually; she went on to BF for nearly 3 years, I think.
