I have permission from the mom to post to this list. Mom has history of yeast and was given info on treatment. Her pediatrician (according to mom) refused to treat her daughter because she was not symptomatic. I sent tons of info for her to share w/her pediatrician. She chose not to for whatever reason. The baby is now 3 mths old, mom has just been pumping and bottling for the last 2 mths. She says that her areola has been swollen, itchy and very tender for the last several weeks. LC in her area sent her to a dermatologist who said that it was just irritation and prescribed Aclovate ointment. She told her to pump and dump during the 2 wk treatment and to wait for 2 days after end of treatment to begin giving the baby pumped milk. Any info on this ointment would be appreciated.
