It is not my intent to diminish Mr. Spear's statement that "the subscription list of ABJ is FAR larger than that of Bee Culture." I also appreciate Mr. Spear's kind comments. It should be acknowledged that Mr Spear also quoted my text correctly when he wrote, "World's most easily and most widely read beekeeping periodical, 'Bee Culture'." What he failed to do was to note that the article was premised as an opinion; maters as related to subscribers were not mentioned. Bee Culture publishes a "Rate Card" along with a kit titled "Advertising & Media Information" which gives a comphrensive analysis of the demographics associated with the magazine's distribution which in year 2000 placed its "readership to nearly 17,000 beekeepers" which included pass along readers. Not mentioned was the large amount of readers who do not subscribe to "Bee Culture" but connect to http://www.beeculture.com via the Internet. These folks connect to the Internet from all over the world, and that folks is as wide as it gets. You can not get more widely read than the entire World!! This is my opinion expressed here; and if carefully read, the text from which I was quoted was expressed as my opinion as well.
