Hi: I've been reading for years and was encourage by my favorite L.C. to post my questions. So here goes. I had a mother of a 15 mo old call. This mother had only nursed for 5 mo. Her concern was after reciving a Depo shot for birth control she began leeking. I was told by our nurse practitioner that this is quite common. I have read that Depo has been used in some cases early on to increase milk production in nursing mothers. This mom had not nursed in 10 mo.I would like to know how common this condition is. I have one more question regarding mothers increasing their fluids to help with jaundice. I was again told by my practitioner that this is helpfull? I have no infomation on this matter and would like info on how this may work. I cant figure this out. I understand how dehydration my be a issue but she stated something about dilation of protein. *********************************************** To temporarily stop your subscription: set lactnet nomail To start it again: set lactnet mail (or digest) To unsubscribe: unsubscribe lactnet All commands go to [log in to unmask] The LACTNET mailing list is powered by L-Soft's renowned LISTSERV(R) list management software together with L-Soft's LSMTP(TM) mailer for lightning fast mail delivery.
